You get notifications upon activation of the motion sensor. Thus, it only bugs you if it detects something happening. Otherwise, you just set up the connections and that's it. The app is free to download and use. They ask for a $0.99 in-app purchase to remove ads. There is also a store for standalone cameras if you want to go that route. It makes for one of the better baby monitor apps.

BabyCam is a simple, cheap solution for baby monitor apps. It doesn't require an account for set up and the premium version goes for only $0.99. The app lets you connect to your Wi-Fi and view your baby's room from other parts of the house. This, of course, needs a second device for setup so hopefully you have an old phone laying around.
